At TBS Online, we are committed to providing a rigorous curriculum designed to develop the artistic and performance skills of your student(s). With technical training, workbooks, compare recordings, gamified practice, and individualized feedback, you can expect your child to understand, internalize, demonstrate, and advance their knowledge.

Presence

Performance Art hinges on the key factors of it’s name. Sometimes the “Art” portion is created and refined behind the scenes, but eventually it must be brought to the “Performance” light. Students of TBS Online will receive training in stage presence and working with an audience in a variety of formats including video lessons, challenge assignments, and performance opportunities for their peers and guests. This is about confidence. This is about creating something of beauty and then sharing that beauty and light with the world.

Innovation

Creativity is of enormous value. Imagine what we could do if we envisioned new ways, new methods of creating that did not confine performance art to the track(s) currently produced. Students will be challenged with innovation exercises to train their brains in critical and creative thinking skills; they will be challenged to use their unique thought patterns to inform their performance art.

Community- The Online Creative Cafe

Together, we can break the cycle of isolation and unhealthy competition in the performing arts. What if instead of succumbing to destructive comparison, students were able to encourage, collaborate, and compel one another forward? What could happen if we adopted the “yes, and” approach, building with one another rather than tearing down to set ourselves up? Community is the future of the arts, and the Online Creative Cafe (group hangouts via Google Meet) is designed to be a haven space for students to connect with each other, cultivate friendships, and challenge each other in their Excellence, Presence, and Innovation.
